231215002583 - PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF A LEISURE PARK ON ERF 5356, EXTENSION 11, ONGWEDIVA, OSHANA REGION

The Ongwediva Town Council, hereinafter referred to as the Proponent has proposed to establish a new Leisure Park on Erf 5356 at the heart of Ongwediva Extension 11. The aim is to develop a recreational park that is inclusive and sensitive destination that will enrich the community through site appropriate design. The envisaged concept plan will support a variety of amenities and activities for all ages and user groups and creates a vibrant focal point for the neighbourhood and surrounding community. In terms of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) No.07 of 2007 and its Regulations (GN No.30 of 2012), the construction of leisure and recreation sites cannot be undertaken without an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) being conducted and Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) being obtained.
