231127002518 - Proposed Acquisition of 3D Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) Data and Standard 3D Seismic Survey Operations in Petroleum Exploration Licence (PEL) No. 0039, Blocks 2914A and 2914B, Offshore Orange Basin, Southern Namibia

Shell holds an ECC (dated 29 June 2018) for the acquisition of 3D seismic data across an area covering 10 000 square kilometers of PEL0039. Shell is now applying to amend its current ECC to cover the entire extent of its approved drill area of interest in PEL0039 (up to 10 400 square kilometers). This would allow for Shell to acquire further detailed seismic data in the previously authorised survey areas within PEL0039 as well as the remaining extent of PEL0039 not yet surveyed. Shell is also applying to add the option of undertaking Ocean Bottom Nodes (OBN) surveys to acquire further fine-scale 3D seismic data. Note that Shell is at the same time also applying for the renewal of its current ECC.
