ENGEN Namibia (Pty) Ltd is a leading marketer of liquid fuels and lubricants in the country. The existing Engen installations have a valid Petroleum Wholesale License approved by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The site operations and installation are in accordance with Engen Namibia (Pty) Ltd policies and regulations. In terms of the Environmental Management Act 7 of 2007 (Government Notice No. 29), certain activities may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). This activity is included in the above-mentioned list. An ECC was applied for and obtained for this facility. The ECC is valid for a period of three (3) years and has thus expired. Engen appointed Environam Consultants Trading (ECT) to apply for the renewal of the ECC on its behalf.
