The environmental clearance certificate is for: Renewal of the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for exploration activities on Exclusive Prospecting Licence; EPL5885 within Communal Land, south of Otjimuhaka (former Swartbooisdrift), Kunene Region 2. Details of the activity(s) covered by the environmental clearance certificate: Title of Activity: Renewal of the Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the mineral exploration activities for the registered mineral commodities within the EPL-5885: Base and Rare Metals, Industrial Minerals, Precious Metals, Precious Stones and Semi-Precious Stones. Nature of Activity: Minerals exploration activities in general including mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys, drilling, pitting and trenching and bulk sampling within EPL-5885. The provision of the listed activities are as follows: MINING AND QUARRYING ACTIVITIES  The construction of facilities for any process or activities which requires a license, right, or other forms of authorization, and the renewal of a license, right, or any other form of authorization in terms of Minerals (Prospecting and Mining Act), 1992.  Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation, and related activities.  Other forms of mining or extraction of natural resources whether regulated by law or not. Location of Activity: Exclusive Prospecting Licence; EPL5885 within Communal Land, south of Otjimuhaka (former Swartbooisdrift), Kunene Region (See overview map, Figure 1) Scale and Scope of Activity: The minerals exploration activities in general including, mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys, drilling, pitting and trenching and bulk sampling for Base and Rare metals, Industrial Minerals, Precious Metals, Precious Stones and Semi-Precious Stones.
