Condition(s) on the Current Environmental Clearance Certificate: The continuation of small to medium scale quarrying for Sodalite Dimension Stone on Mining Claims 66887, 66888 and 66921 in Epupa Constituency, Kunene Region, Namibia 2. Proposed Amendment(s): The continuation of small to medium scale quarrying for Sodalite Dimension Stone and Semi-Precious Stones on Mining Claims 66887, 66888 and 66921 in Epupa Constituency, Kunene Region, Namibia 3. Reason for Amendment(s): The Claims are registered with the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) on two commodities, i.e., Dimension Stones and Semi-Precious Stones. For MME to grant a renewal of the Mining Claims certificate, both these commodities need to be reflected on the ECC. 4. Describe the environmental changes arising from the proposed amendment(s): NONE – All activities were described and covered in the updated Environmental Management Plan (EMP) conducted by Omavi Geotechnical & Geo – Environmental Consultants in partial fulfillment of the renewal of the ECC that was submitted on the 21 of April 2022. 5. Describe how the environment and the community might be affected by the proposed amendment(s): The amendment will not affect the community. 6. Describe how and to what extent the environmental performance requirements set out in the assessment report previously approved or activity profile previously submitted for this activity may be affected: There will be no change apart from that describes in the previous documents submitted. 7. Describe any additional measures proposed to eliminate, reduce or control any adverse environmental effect arising from the proposed amendment(s): No additional measures proposed.
