The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 66kv Marble – Navachab Transmission Line and Navachab Substation in Erongo Region. The 66kV Marble – Navachab transmission line and Navachab substation was constructed and there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the operational Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
