Urban Green cc (The Environmental Assessment Practitioner) has been appointed by GreeNam Electricity (PTY) Ltd (The Proponent) to apply for the transfer of an Environmental Clearance Certificate for the existing 66kV Power Transmission Line situated within the Mariental District, Hardap Region. The 66kV Power Transmission Line distributes electricity to the NamPower Hardap substation from the Hardap photovoltaic solar project. NamPower has assumed responsibility of the 66kV Power Transmission Line, and therefore the application for the ECC transfer from GreeNam Electricity PTY Ltd to NamPower. An Environmental Clearance Certificate for the mentioned 66kV Power Transmission Line was obtained on 04 April 2022 and is valid until until 04 April 2025.
