The Erongo Regional Council as a sub-national government commits to deliver prompt quality and accessible services for the community uplifment through good governance for sustainable socio-economic development. The council is committed toward waste management within its jurisdiction through establishment and formalization of waste disposal sites within its jurisdictions. The ERC was granted an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) in 2018 for the operation and management of the Otjimbingwe dumpsite. The ECC expired in 2021. As such, the Erongo Regional Council has appointed Green Gain Consultants cc to apply for the renewal of the ECC for the operation and management of the existing waste disposal site in Otjimbingwe.
