1. THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE RENEWAL IS FOR: 1. (b) The transmission and supply of electricity. 4. Any other related activity that requires authorization in terms of the forest Act (Act No. 12 of 2001) or any other law. 5.2 The establishment of land resettlement schemes. 10.1 (b) The construction of public roads. 2. DETAILS OF THE ACTIVITY(S) COVERED BY THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE: 2.1 Title of the Activity Township Establishment: Amraalsduin Extensions 1& 2. 2.2 Location of Activity Leonardville Village is situated to the south-western part of the Omaheke Region which is located in the central-eastern part of Namibia. (see Appendix A). The portion of land earmarked for the proposed new townships (i.e. Amraalsduin Ext 1 &2) are currently situated on the eastern edge of the Amraalsduin Township, Leonardville Village. 2.3 Nature of Activity The activity entails the formalization of already planned erven (as per Town Planning Ordinance, No. 11 of 1963) forming part of Amraalsduin Informal Townships (Leonardville Village). The new townships (i.e. Amraalsduin Ext 1 & 2) will provide for 315 residential erven of between 300m² to 500m² in size. The two new townships will be created (i.e. township establishment) on a portion of the Remainder of Portion 26 of the Farm Pretorius No.15. as part of these township establishments, public roads will be constructed as well as provision of electricity, water and sewer infrastructure. All mentioned services are existing and will be linked with the available services. 2.4 Scale and Scope of Activity The proposed Amraalsduin Extension 1 will be 10,1ha in size providing for ±200 erven, while Amraalsduin Extension 2 will be 6,1ha in size providing for ± 114 erven. The scope of activity entails the creation of erven through a legal process as provided for by the Township and Division of Land Ordinance (No. 11 of 1963) and the Land Surveyors Act (No. 32 of 1993). The activity is also associated with the construction of municipal infrastructure (i.e. roads, electricity network, water network and waste water network) and construction of houses and other structures.
