230329001227 - Renewal of ECC for the proposed Townships establishment on portion 161, 162, 163 and 164 of the remainder of portion B of Swakopmund townlands No.41

The Municipality of Swakopmund has proposed to establish four township developments on portion 161, 162, 163 and 164 of the remainder of Portion B of Swakopmund townlands No.41. The initial EIA was conducted in 2019, an ECC was granted in 2020 and expired in 2023. The initial EIA was conducted in 2019, an ECC was granted in 2020 and expired in 2023. Since the granting of ECC, no development has taken place, thus the proposed development site is still in its natural state. Approval of the proposed township layout is yet to be obtained from the Urban and Regional Planning Board. Hence, the Municipality of Swakopmund has again appointed Green Gain Consultants cc to update the initial EMP and apply for the renewal of the ECC.
